Justin, Katie and Kelly--just incredible, and the weather here in Sevilla has pretty much perfect and cloud free since we got here--God is really helping us get some great photos! Posted by Hello

Amber and Kelly playing in the big maze that has been perserved since the 9th century!! The mistresses used to hide in the mazes and the kings would be jerks, cheat on their wifes and try to find them in there--haha or something, the tour was in Spanish so we didn't really catch ALL the details. Posted by Hello

Real Alcazar again..just a beautiful place Posted by Hello

Real Alcalzar-the oldest fortress/palace in the world that is still in use! how cool. On Thursday, we got to take a class field trip there and had a great time with the photos. Posted by Hello

So there's was the random huge rock about 50 ft from the shore..the remnants of a ruined lighthouse--which is now apparently used by crazy students as a jumping stone. Here are Kelly and Lindsay after conquering the big thing--(they had lots of scraps too that you can't see..ouch.) Posted by Hello

To the beach! It's only a 45 min bus trip to the beach in Matalascañas--here's Lindsay, Amber and Katie soaking up the sun. Posted by Hello

Making friends with the Spainards! Our great ISA leaders set up a date for 2 spanish girls to take us out on the town to practice our spanish and go out with the locals..here we are with Isa, Ana and 4 ISA girls at a local bar Posted by Hello

Week 1

Well, we survived our first week attending class and really living in Spain! Haha we took the wrong bus a few times, encountered several language barriers and made some strange new friends but its all part of this crazy studying abroad experience! We both have intensive language classes from 9-12 every morning for 2 more weeks until we start our real classes at the university and get every friday off. We have definitely gotten accustomed to the Spanish custom of napping for 2 hours after lunch each day, haha we haven´t missed one yet. The mealtime issue is getting better and I don´t think either one of us have been the least bit disappointed by the meals our madre makes yet! She even does our laundry...amazing. This upcoming week will be full of classes, more exploring and then we´re taking a day trip to the Strait of Gibraltar on Saturday! Until then...adios.

After climbing 32 ramps to get to the top of the cathedral, we got a great panoramic picture of Sevilla Posted by Hello

Christopher Colombus' body is in the Cathedral of Sevilla! The body is lifted up by the statues of the 4 kings of Spain..and here Kelly is rubbing the foot of one of them because it supposedly brings good luck! Posted by Hello
