Easter

for easter break, danielle and i packed up our bags and headed east to wilmington, north carolina. we didn't really know how to get there, except to drive straight down I-40 until it ended and we didn't have a place to stay. after 3 1/2 hours of driving, we got there and began our search for a hotel. unfortunately, the first one we tried told us we had to be 21 to rent a room in most of the hotels on the beach. this scared us, but just for like 5 minutes, when we got to the next hotel. about 5 hotels later we found one...the southwind motel. and it was definitely a motel, there was nothing hotelish about it. but, it was right on the beach, and that's what we were looking for. we also found a cute little coffeeshop to go to each night (with wireless internet and a big screen tv to watch the basketball games on). we spent all day saturday on the beach and riding the tandem bike we rented around carolina beach. so, it was a great weekend... except the terrifying prank phone call we received which almost made us pee our pants (which we're still really mad about by the way, you know who you are). anyway, we were just being girls and watching the notebook when i got a call from a private number. at first, i didn't really ask any questions til the guy started getting really sketchy. long story short, we were in a scene from a scary movie... sketchy motel on the beach, two young girls and a scary phone call.

that aside, it was a successful easter weekend!

yayyyyy for my mom and courtney. my mom pulled the surprise visit again and this time with my best friend from home, courtney. we got to hang out for the weekend and my wonderful friend from home got to meet my wonderful friends at wake forest!

so, the first thing courtney experienced at wake forest was viking fest... i promised her that every day at wake forest wasn't this crazy and eventful

so, one day i'm sitting in the coffeeshop, studying, and i get this phone call from my uncle mike, who wants me to fly down to miami to see him for the weekend... so i did...and it was amazing. this is a picture of the downtown skyline from our boat ride. so pretty.
