Us with Vincenzo and Nicholas--the crazy Italian policemen we met at the fountain that decided to take us out to a free dinner in Rome--I mean, we're poor, how can we turn that down?? 

Trying our luck by tossing a coin into the Trevi fountain--we're supposedly guaranteed a trip back to Rome--hopefully the Roman fountain Gods plan to fund the trip for us and make it happen... 

We killed some gelato this trip...and it was worth every bit of money and calories we wasted on it!  

Here we are posing outside the Colosseum because we were too cheap to actually want to pay and go inside.We bought a cool tour book instead to tell us all about everything we were looking at instead of paying some guy to talk to us about it, and then forget what he said 10 minutes later!

Amber Tuesday morning in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City! 

Lindsay leaning out a window of the Vatican Museum after we went to see the Sistine Chapel! Wow-Michaelangelo might be the most amazing person ever! You can see the dome of St. Peter's Basilica behind her. 

Us with our friends Francisco and Estila we met in the train station in Florence! We didn't speak a word of Italian and were about to miss our train, when we heard them speaking Spanish and asked for help. They are from Argentina and spoke Spanish with us during our 3 hour layover in the train station at 3am! Then coincidentally, we saw them again here at the Pitti Palace in Florence and were able to get a picture with them! 

After our AMAZING gourmet meal at Pietro's restaurant, Bocaccio. Not only did he make a lunch especially for us, he hooked us up and charged us $15 for at least a $70 meal.

Amber with our newfound friend Pietro we met in the park with his beautiful, huge dogs! This picture is dedicated to Juliet Lam b/c if it weren't for her and her obsession with the #9, Amber would have never lost her inhibitions and asked to take a picture with him without an excuse!  

Kira, Amber, Lindsay and Jennifer in front of the Pepperdine University house in Florence! We met them on our overnight train from Venice and they invited us over for an incredible free 3-course meal at their house! Go waves...you rock our world.

Here we are, in the rain AGAIN. Browsing through the leather market and spending all our money! 

At our campsite...they seemed to think that THIS drain was a toilet. Crazy camping Italians...pop a squat. 

Here is our tent. The tent we payed $10 to sleep in the one night we spent in Florence. Notice the raincoat? It was POURING the whole time we were in there...nice and muggy, damp and disgusting. Lindsay only brought sheets along to accompany the blanket they gave us--so she slept in the fetal position with half her clothes on and hood tied all night. We also bought halloween candles and a lighter because we were too cheap to buy a flashlight with batteries--let's just call it a memory we'll never forget!
